Born and raised in Bellingham, Washington, Maddi Adams grew up skiing Mount Baker. though she didn’t fall in love with skiing right away. That changed at 13, when the pandemic paused everything else and a single freeride video flipped the switch. What started as curiosity quickly turned into commitment.
That same winter, Maddi entered her first freeride competitions and unexpectedly qualified for the North American Championships. Shortly after, she was featured in Salomon’s A Little Rogue, A Little Rowdy, followed by a win at the TGR Grom Comp. Since then, Maddi has spent her winters in Jackson Hole, chasing progression through IFSA competitions and dedicated freeride coaching.
Off the snow, Maddi is drawn to anything that keeps her outside climbing, biking, hiking, and camping all feed the same curiosity that drives her skiing. Grounded, motivated, and constantly pushing forward, Maddi represents the next generation of freeride athletes rooted in passion, shaped by the mountains, and hungry for what’s next.
